I had an interesting trip. The flight from Japan to Cali was long, but they had some interesting movies on, "Dororo", "Ghost Rider", and "Flushed Away", for instance.
I had a good time in California. First, my parents and I got to see my friends and do some catching up with them. I got to see "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix". It was pretty dark-themed, and there were several elements from the book missing, but the special effects were cool. The Patronuses looked quite spectacular.
I also got to visit a couple of colleges in LA. They were pretty nice: lots of trees and spacious grounds with libraries and some restaurants nearby. The academic programs sounded interesting as well.
On the last night of our stay, my parents and I had dinner at a mall in LA. It reminded me of Disneyworld because of the trolleys and the water-display fountain. They even had a movie theater showing "Ratatouille." It was a cute and funny movie. ^^
The flight back was quite long. I read something to keep myself occupied, but I spent almost half the flight sleeping. By the time we got home last night, I was dead tired.
Well, now I'm here and glad to be home. I missed talking to you all. ^^

I haven't seen the Harry Potter movie yet, but somehow it doesn't surprise me that you said there were a lot of elements missing from the book. They did that last time. Instead of cutting so much out (key things, too) they could at least extend it a half an hour.

And you don't be concerned
With the things they said I did
I ain't got no regrets
No one to forgive
I ain't talking gangsters
And that East Coast West Coast shit
No one calls me a homeboy
I'm the Clerkenwell Kid
I'm glad to be back, too! It's good to hear from you!

Yeah, I really did have a lot of fun. I wish I could've met you and everyone else too. Maybe we should all plan a get-together sometime. ^^
